Student Representation
The Council of Students of Schools of Social Work has been established to address the needs of students and insure their voice is heard by the Board of Directors. Any current student can participate on the council. The councel meets periodically each semester; contact the Chapter office for more information.The Council nominates one Undergraduate Student and one Graduate Student from its ranks to serve as Student Reps on the Board.
Duites:
- Represent their respective student membership before the Chapter Board of Directors.
- Represent the Chapter within their respective student membership.
- Organize activities responsive to their respective student membership needs.
- Host meetings for the purpose of fostering membership within their respective student membership, networking and to provide a forum for communication.
- Recruit members from within their respective student membership.
- Assist the Nominations and Leadership Committee in identifying candidates for office.
- Work in conjunction with the PACE Committee related to candidate election and legislative issues.
- Advance Chapter and National goals within their respective student membership.
